Shopgirl's Shanghai
a guide to what's HOT and what's NOT-
March 10th, 2010LifeAccording to MSN Weather (is that a valid source?) they say that today is the last cold day in Shanghai. From now on it will be at least 8 degrees, all the way up to 20 degrees. I’m screaming inside of joy!!! No more freezing in the bedroom, no more eating because to keep myself warm, no more rejecting friends when they want to go out. Shanghai is getting nicer and nicer, let’s hope!
I’m still dreaming that I’m in Sanya, looking at the pictures over and over again, closing my eyes pretending that the sun is shining on my bare legs. So here, boys and girls, are some more photos from my awesome trip!

The rest are private

March 9th, 2010OtherChoose your own pillow at the Hilton hotel.
I chose Buckwheat and Kapok pillow.
This is really uninteresting info, but the Kapok pillow was awesome!

March 9th, 2010FoodI’m not a food fanatic, I seldom get impressed by food. I am, as you all know, more of a dessert fanatic.
But if there is one restaurant that I do really get impressed by, both when it comes to the food, the service and the ambiance, it is definitely Haiku by hatsune. It is not the most expensive restaurant in town, nor is it the trendiest. But the food is pure heaven!
Address: Taojiang Road near Hengshan Road (next to South Beauty)
Sushi rolls with cream cheese and salmon
Asparagus in butter sauce
Excellent fresh tempura
And you have to try their Mövenpick strawberry icecream together with the tofu-cheesecake!!! Mmmmmmm

March 4th, 2010LifeNow Im back in cold Shanghai again, my flight back was a nightmare. First it was delayed, and then it was serious turbulence during the whole flight – for 3 hours. Shaking constantly! It was at least 10 announces saying that you can not go to the bathroom. It was very scary, but anyway. I’m home now safe and sound!
In a few hours I will post some of my favourite pics from Sanya. I had an awesome vacation, it really couldn’t get better…

March 2nd, 2010Life
WOW….I am having my first REAL holiday with sun and ocean in about twelve years.I am staying at the Hilton Resort and SPA, the hotel is really amazing, a huge resort with a private beach. Drinking coconut every morning while looking at the ocean….this is what I call life quality!
I should also mention that I have a HUGE circle bathtub in my room, drinking wine while eating exotic fruits naked in the bathtub has become my new hobbie. -
February 25th, 2010Fashion/Beauty, Food

Shanghai Tang is usually famous for its decoration pieces and its high quality stationery, but now they also want to move into the food industry.I was here during lunch one day, because it’s very close to my office.
Lunch set starts at 98RMB per person. Service is great, but no ambiance because lack of people. Come here at night instead
The red bean icecream is delicious!!!!!!!!
Overall, a very chic place for the fashionistas in town. More info here : http://www.urbanatomy.com/index.php/food-a-drink/news/2334-shanghai-tang-the-cafe
